Carlyn and I originally chatted about getting our shoot done about a month ago. But as fate would have it, we had to put it on the back burner for a bit due to our schedules. We’d chatted enough and had a ton of concepts ready that whatever the weather was doing (and it snowed in the village the day before), we were ready to give it a go. As it turned out the weather was fantastic! Cool but not cold with leaves falling and a very rich feel to the light. You’ll see that in some of the images the sun made an escape from the late afternoon clouds and burst into the village, which gives those shots an entirely different feel. Light can be amazing 🙂
I met Carlyn through a good mutual friend, Stef, who I actually had worked with before on a couple of different projects and then had the pleasure of live shooting her water works evoking engagement shoot with her soon to be hubby, Cory (we still talk about the emotions of that day). Fantastic people, so I knew Carlyn and I would get along and have an opportunity to create some real magic. We were lucky enough to have Stef come out and assist with clothing and details (which I can honestly say I’m always more than happy to have help with) Dudes be dudes 😉 A shout out to another associate of mine who did an amazing job with Carlyn’s makeup, Laine Dagneau (have a peek at her work, very talented). So, hope you enjoy the images as much as we did in making them!
