With a commercial project set to finalize on the campus of Thompson Rivers University for the Kelson Group in Kamloops, images have been gathered from all corners of the region, in all seasons in preparation. This particular group of images for the project though allowed me to go back to work on the campus, to showcase some of the beautiful architecture in print form. Ever evolving and progressive in their structures and design TRU provides a bit of ‘big city feel’ in what is still a relatively small community. For myself it scratches a bit of an itch to shoot those upper echelon designs found mostly in big cities. Light control on shoots such as these are paramount, challenging and fun as timing is critical. Windows of perfect balance of ambient and artificial lighting don’t last that long if you want to achieve a warmth to the images, and for a campus that’s extremely important with the amount of foot traffic. With the project near completion it was a joy to get back to old stomping grounds to experience some campus life of my own. To see more of my work, click on my portfolio page link here.
